The application deadline is January 11, 2021.

The 2nd Southeast Europe Smart Society Conference is organized by ICT Innovation Network with support from the ICT Association of Slovenia at the CCIS.
There will be no digital transformation of smart cities and societies without partnerships across all levels - from governments to local communities and providers of digital solutions and services. This is why development is led by societies that find the common ground to achieve a shared goal.

In the spirit of accelerated digital transformation, EU countries are looking to get smart and are searching for solutions that would help them overcome challenges. Since these include more than technological obstacles, this year's event will discuss strategic and organizational approaches as well as the development of people and technology competencies that create the conditions needed for digital transformation into smart societies that capitalize on the opportunities of the digital economy. The central theme of the conference will be the creation of conditions for the digital economy, examples of good practices and positioning within European projects and funding opportunities. The panel discussion will feature the opinions of stakeholders who help shape smart society.

The 2nd Southeast Europe Smart Society Conference will take place within the broader context of a European conference organized by Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC) addressing the topic of smart societies at the EU level. Both events will take place as free webinars.

The conference target audience are the representatives of Slovenian and regional local communities, development agencies, organizations developing smart city and smart society solutions and services, governments, and all partners who help develop smart cities and societies.
