Slovenian National Declaration for Boosting the Digital Transformation of Cities, Villages and Communities Towards a Sustainable Smart Society

There is a clear commitment in the EU to move from siloed and unconnected smart city and community projects towards interoperability and standardization of data models and towards open urban data platforms, which are expected to accelerate local economies.

These will also be the goals of the instruments in the new programming period. Following the example of the EU Declaration, Slovenian stakeholders within the Slovenian Digital Coalition worked with other stakeholders to create a coordinated Slovenian National Declaration to accelerate the digital transformation of cities, villages and communities into a sustainable smart society that takes inspiration from European direction and transplants it into the Slovenian context.
